The Gulf’s Deadly Harvest

I was the photojournalist and editor for the Emmy Award-winning investigative documentary series The Gulf’s Deadly Harvest, produced in collaboration with investigative reporter Sally Kestin for the South Florida Sun Sentinel. This three-part series exposed the dangers of Vibrio vulnificus, a deadly bacteria found in Gulf Coast waters, and the severe health consequences faced by consumers of raw oysters. The investigation also uncovered how elected officials in Gulf states distorted the true cost of regulating the bacteria. My visual storytelling played a key role in delivering the urgency and impact of this public health issue.

Social Content Creation

A dynamic series of short-form videos I shot and edited specifically for social media platforms, designed to capture attention quickly and engage viewers with visually compelling storytelling. The content ranged from behind-the-scenes features and cultural highlights to quick interviews and travel moments, optimized for mobile viewing and platform-specific trends.

SailTrek

SailTrek was a weekly travel program broadcast internationally across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean on Go Traveler. The production team sailed between islands on a traditional tall ship, stopping to showcase the authentic Caribbean experience. The show offered viewers an immersive journey through the region's stunning natural beauty, culture, history, art, music, and cuisine—all while embracing the spirit of tall ship sailing.

As the Director of Photography, Lead Photographer, Segment Editor, and Editor for SailTrek, I was responsible for coordinating, conceptualizing, and capturing the primary video and photographic content for the series. I led the post-production of individual show segments, crafting visually engaging and informative stories that brought the Caribbean to life for audiences around the world.

CROSSING THE WATERS

Crossing the Waters (2023–2024) is a documentary highlighting the vital yet often overlooked contributions of Bahamian pioneers to the cultural and historical fabric of South Florida. As Director of Photography, Lead Editor, and Photographer, I crafted a compelling visual narrative that connects audiences to the stories, people, and places shaping this rich heritage. The film was a finalist at NewFilmmakers NY (2024) and an official selection at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (2023).
